Mother

So, I'm walking down the busiest street in Logan, freezin my butt off and talking to my mom at the same time! I had just gotten out of my last class of the day and I wanted to tell her all about the cool things I'd learned in Humanities just a few minutes earlier! So I'm being chatty Natty and all the sudden some A hole in a hot rod mexi ride loudy lays on his muffler and blows past me. It was so loud it didn't stop for 30 seconds sending my mother into SHEER PANIC MODE!!! No lie I am still very much on the line and she is SCREAMING my name and shedding tears all at once. For some reason (can't figure out why) the call was dropped. So for 5 minutes I try to call her back and I get nothing, the line is busy. So I wait a few more and call her back. She was sobbing! She thought the loud noise in the background was a horn blaring and that I had just gotten into an accident. So she had managed to call my dad, and was about to call my roommate when I called. She was so upset she lectured me on talking on the phone and driving, (even though she knew I was WALKING back to my car) and that she couldn't talk on the phone anymore because she felt sick to her stomach!


Now this being said I love her to death! I really really do, but I am begging the Lord NOT to make me turn out as paranoid and dramatic as her!!! As I'm writing this I realize she would kill me if she knew I was even retelling this story! So this is between us! She's a great and talented women who I can truly say is my dear friend! But holy hell women!!! CALM DOWN!! :)

So yeah my not so big wedding is turning into a little more each time I turn my brain on to get ideas! I wish I wasn't so dag gum creative! 9 words women use

1: FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
2. FIVE MINUTES: If she is getting dressed this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before helping out around the house.
3. NOTHING: This is the calm before the storm. This means something and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
4. GO AHEAD: This is a dare, not permission. DON'T DO IT!
5. LOUD SIGH: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing.
6. THAT'S OKAY: This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. Thats ok means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
7. THANKS: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here this is true, unless she says thanks a lot- that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say you're welcome that will bring on a whatever!
8.WHATEVER: is a womans way of saying to Hell with you!
9. DON"T WORRY ABOUT IT, I GOT IT: another dangerous statement meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking, 'whats wrong.' For the womans response refer to #3.

I find this SO SO SO true! It made my day!

cowboys and indians

What happened to the good old days, when all people had to worry about was whether their cows and chickens were fed. I should have been born in those years, I would be perfectly content riding my horse up and down fence lines to check cows and watch them calve. Life is so much more complicated and dramatic these days. I'm quite sick of it! (so much for my positive thinking)

Positive Thinking!

Since I have been so sick that it hurts to watch movies and it hurts to read a book and most definitely hurts to do homework, not to mention sleeping is almost completely out of the question. Therefore, haven't done much of anything besides sit and stare at the wall, and think. Bad idea for me to be thinking this much. So this morning I woke up with a 103 temp at 5. I had to wake my roomie up to give me sponge bath... very awkward moment. We were unsuccessful in getting it back down. So it is about 2 when I'm finally starting to feel like my fever is breaking and lo and behold it has! So I flipped my sheets over in an attempt to make the germs go away because there is no way i'm going to the laundry mat. I got into the shower, and brushed my teeth and I'm feeling like a brand new me.... and then I think to myself.... you know there is one really good thing about being sick right now.... since I have no appetite today can be day 2 of my diet! YES!!!

running

Here's the thing, I've been running consistently now for almost 2 years. After completing my first marathon just a month ago, I'm having serious motivation problems. No the wedding is not enough for me. Sam loves me no matter what I look like. But the problem is that I have to do this for me. You would think, that it would get easier for me and that if I already know that I need to go running for me to feel good about myself then it should be much easier! haha thats funny! cuz its not! Nope, not at all!! So I am trying to do better this week! Trying very hard. With work, and homework, and school, I feel busy enough. But I need this for myself! ugh... out to run....
